The Hermle St Francis Old World Styled Cherry Finish Grandfather Clock is both distinguished and functional. Stately moldings adorn the bonnet crown and dual tiered base, while petite curios flank the solid wood case of this well designed timepiece. The ornate dial is stunning with heavy fleur-de-lis castings and applied Arabic numerals.

Behind the beveled glass of the lockable door are weights and a polished bob with full harp. The 8-day, cable-driven triple chime movement plays Westminster, St. Michael, and Whittington. The exceptional design behind this grandfather clock includes an automatic night shut-off and silencing lever. Available with or without the optional auto-wind.

About Hermle

Although the business started in 1922 to produce clock parts, Franz Hermle quickly expanded on his success in the 1930s by manufacturing complete clocks. Throughout their respectable history, Hermle has continued to work toward perfecting the mechanical movement, even while embracing the quartz movement as it became popular in the 1970s. Their knowledge and experience is renowned, as many famous companies around the globe use Hermle movements in their own clock lines. Today, Hermle's desirable clocks and movements are exported to over 100 countries.

Now in its third generation, Franz Hermle and Sohn operates four manufacturing facilities in Germany, and one location in the United States.
