The building process starts with the wood selection. Unlike many manufactures Hentschel's cabinets are solid wood, and they hand select only the finest aged and cured hardwoods and veneers available. With each step of the shaping, assembly, and finishing, the wood is treated with great care and respect. When you see one one of Hentschel's masterpieces, that care and respect is evident in the luster of the finish and in the inner beauty coaxed out from deep inside the wood. The clocks can take several days of painstaking, labor-intensive handcraftmanship. That care ensures each owner, their clock investment will last for generations.
