A founding member of England's famed Clockmaker's Guild of the 1630s, Mr. Tompion served as the inspiration for the Howard Miller Tompion Mantel Clock, which honors his work with its luxurious details. A Cherry Bordeaux finish brings the hardwood and veneer construction to life, and a rare olive ash burl frames the sleek door. Glass sides and a mirrored back brilliantly reveal the clock's key-wound movement, while the brass-finished dial and silver chapter ring provide lavish visual interest. Durable bronze bushings reduce friction to ensure long-lasting quality, and an optional automatic nighttime chime silencer makes this triple-chime piece as convenient as it is lovely.
