It stands securely on a Windsor Cherry-finished hardwood base with decorative molding. Beneath a convex glass crystal, the antique finished serpentine hands are complemented by the aged dial and black Roman numerals. Quartz, battery operated movement plays Westminster chime and strikes on the hour. There is also an automatic nighttime chime shut-off feature.
