First I would like to say that Hayneedle is a great online retailer [...]. The clock was not as I had expected, the face is much darker than in the picture. The construction is mediocre. It is made in china and the construction process seems to be rushed as it looks like a 4 year old painted some of the accents of this piece. The actual clock mechanism itself looks very cheap but it does keep accurate time as of the 4 days I have owned it. Overall though, the clock is very attractive and looks very good with my complementary wall art. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to those wanting a fairly nice clock for a decent price.

The face is a little darker they I expected
so it's not so easy to see the time. But I am
happy with the looks of it.

Clock Face is darker than pictured. It is all one color rather than lighter on the outer area. It is difficult to read the time unless it is very bright in the room.

The Balboa clock is beautiful. The swing pendent is neat. I Had no problems getting the clock together and working. Glad I bought it.

The clock is a beautiful piece of wall art, but the hands and piece that holds them on are very cheaply made — not a reliable time piece! The hands fell off, the little cap that holds them on was never found, and our clock is on the wall with no hands! After what we paid for the clock, I can't bear to take it off the wall. Perhaps a bit of humor there for our guests, but we really did need a functioning clock. Really, we've gotten a cheap clock at a discount store that was much more reliable as a clock.
