I received this clock and it was beautiful. I pulled it out and black pieces of plastic fell out of the back and the minute hand was broken. The metal around the face of the clock was bent outward in several spots. It looked like it had been manufactured that way. The box that it came in looked fine so I don't know what had happened to it. Besides the box saying do not lay flat and it was not a box that could stand on its own so I imagine it was laid down during shipment and maybe even thrown around. I called customer service and they told me to throw the clock away and ordered me a new clock. I am happy with the service I received but am nervous to see if this one will show up broken also!

      When I opened the box the hour hand was not even attached. I put a new battery in and the clock did not work. Unfortunately I will be sending this back for a refund. I do not want to wait to ship it back and then wait for a replacement.
